COVID-19 Update for Regional Water

COVID-19 Update March 20, 2020

As a result of the ongoing public health emergency, Regional Water has made the following changes:

  • Our main offices will be closed to visitors at all times except by appointment.  Customers are encouraged to e-mail if at all possible, call if necessary.  Physical payments can be submitted by our secure dropbox or the United States Postal Service.
  • It is the decision of the Board of Directors that Regional Water, for the upcoming emergency and to be reviewed in no less than six months' time, we will no longer disconnect water for non-payment at owner-occupied residences or family-owned businesses. 
    • Please note, unless and until the law should change, for the viability of our water system and the good of our customer-owners, we are not waiving late fees or our other rights under Iowa law.  As yet, no direct financial support has been made available to Regional Water from any government entity and therefore the functionality of the water system is ultimately dependent on our customers.
