Status Update - July 23, 2021 - Shelby Township Advisory Lifted
July 23, 2021
As water makes its way through our system, and test results come back from state-certified laboratories, we are able to clear more areas from the boil advisory. As of now we can lift the boil advisory for Shelby Township in Shelby County, Iowa.
This is the township with a north edge at 700 Street, a south edge at about Interstate 80, and a west edge at the Harrison County line. To the east of the Shelby Township is the Fairview Township, which had its boil advisory lifted yesterday.
The City of Tennant is also in Shelby Township, and it has also had its boil advisory lifted.
Unfortunately, we do not expect any more updates until Tuesday, as the state-certified laboratories do not process samples on weekends and do not provide same-day service on the necessary tests.
