Regional Water Operations Dashboard Available to the Public

In an effort to provide additional methods to communicate with customers and communities served by Regional Water Rural Water Association, Regional Water has partnered with the Pottawattamie County GIS Department and other stakeholders to develop and
provide an online dashboard that will provide up-to-date tower status and service area information.

“This will provide yet another tool for our customers to receive important information about our system and help us continue to improve communications with the residents and communities on our system.” said Tom Kallman, General Manager of Regional Water. “This is in addition to our website, email alert and text message alert programs. We are beta testing this application throughout the remainder of this event.”

“During emergencies, especially critical infrastructure disruptions, information is critical,” said Doug Reed, director of Pottawattamie County Emergency Management. Reed continued, “This tool will be an easy access dashboard, available around the clock, for customers, businesses, communities, and leadership to maintain awareness of current operational status and critical information.”

The dashboard was put together by Pottawattamie County’s Geographic Information Services (GIS) Department in consultation with Regional Water, Iowa DNR, Iowa Homeland Security & Emergency Management, and the emergency management agencies from Pottawattamie, Shelby, Audubon, and Harrison counties.

The community can access the dashboard by clicking the link above. It will also be available on various websites of the county and municipal government entities within the Regional Water service areas.
