Status Update - July 30, 2021 - Douglas, Westphalia, Lincoln, Cass Townships

All Regional Water customers in the Douglas, Westphalia, Lincoln, and Cass Townships in Shelby County are now lifted from the boil advisory.  This is the area that is North of 700th Street, South of 1900th Street, East of Apple Road or the Harrison County line, and West of Linden Road and M47.

Specifically, if your account number starts with A13, A22, A23, A32, W (Westphalia), or K (Kirkman), you can now use the water as normal. Residents living in the city limits of Portsmouth, Panama, and Earling are also now lifted from the boil advisory.

However, if you are a Regional Water customer in the countryside NEARBY Panama or Earling in the Washington or Union Townships - (that is: if you pay Regional Water directly for your water, and your account number starts with A12 or A40) - you are not quite lifted.

We hope to be able to lift the advisory for Union Township, accounts A40 by this evening. Washington Township, accounts A12, will not be lifted until next week sometime.

If you have an automatic ice maker, we recommend you flush it before consuming any ice.  If you do not have any other guidance from your manufacturer on how to do so, we recommend that you throw out all ice that was made during the boil advisory, and let the ice maker run for a full twenty-four hour cycle, throwing out any ice made during that time, before using it normally.  If your ice maker comes with different instructions on how to flush it, follow those instead.
