On May 23rd, our crews began a planned downtime on the connection between Council Bluffs Water Works and the Urban Bluffs distribution area to make required upgrades.  Water will be shut down for a number of hours and possibly all day.

For the next few days, even after water service is restored, water pressure may be erratic due to the amount of line flushing we are required to do.  The water may also be discolored.  This is due to iron deposits in the line; such water is not hazardous to human health, but it should not be used to wash white laundry.

We notified all customers in the affected area we had phone numbers for on May 22, 2018, and hung door tags notifying them of same for customers we had no phone number on file for.
